Governance & Leadership

AMRDF follows a transparent and participatory governance structure that provides strategic direction, institutional oversight, and accountability for its programmes and operations. The governance system is designed to ensure effective decision-making, compliance with legal requirements, responsible financial management, and alignment of programmes with AMRDF’s mission of improving education and community development outcomes across Sindh.

AMRDF Governance Structure

General Body

The General Body is the foundation of AMRDF’s governance structure and represents the organization’s wider membership. It consists of 60 members, including professionals, development practitioners, educationists, and community representatives with experience in areas such as:

  • Education and learning
  • Community development
  • Public health & WASH
  • Human rights
  • Social mobilization
  • Institutional development

The General Body provides strategic guidance, reviews organizational progress, and elects the Board of Governors every two years.

Board of Governors (BoG)

The Board of Governors is the highest strategic and policy-making body of AMRDF. The Board ensures that AMRDF maintains strong governance standards while responding effectively to the needs of communities and development partners.

The seven-member Board is responsible for:

  • Providing strategic direction and institutional leadership
  • Approving organizational policies and frameworks
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
  • Overseeing financial integrity and accountability
  • Strengthening partnerships and institutional growth
  • Guiding executive management & implementation

Mr. Muhabat Ali Mangrio

Chairman

A development professional, researcher, and social activist with extensive experience in community development in Sindh. Holds a Master’s in Sociology (Univ. of Sindh). Provides strategic leadership and guides AMRDF’s institutional direction.

Mr. Mumtaz Ali

Vice Chairman

A senior development practitioner with experience in rural development and community empowerment. Provides strategic guidance on sustainable, community-based solutions.

Mr. Sahib Khan

General Secretary

Supports organizational governance, administration, and coordination between the BoG and executive management. Focuses on strengthening internal systems and compliance.

Joint Secretary

An educator and community advocate promoting inclusive education, gender equality, and human rights. Elected member of local Union Council contributing to community initiatives.

Finance Secretary

An agricultural expert and social activist from Sanghar, Sindh. Contributes to financial oversight, rural livelihoods, agriculture, and community-based development.

Board Member

Holds a BS in Rural Development. Works as a grassroots practitioner and education advocate, strengthening community-based education systems and inclusive development.

Holds a BS in Commerce (Univ. of Sindh). Supports AMRDF in strengthening financial transparency, compliance mechanisms, and institutional accountability.
